LARGE BALL VALVES WITH BOLT KITS

Aquatherm NA previously introduced bolt/gasket kits for the large ball valves (3”, 4”, and 6”) in an announcement issued on 14 May 2015.

As noted in the announcement, the gaskets are EPDM, full-faced gasket to fit the valve as required. The bolts are zinc-plated steel with washers to fit each valve as required. The gaskets and the bolts were previously available in a kit that must be ordered separately from the valve.

From this point forward, Aquatherm will supply the gasket and bolt kits as standard issue with the order of one of the large ball valves. It will no longer be necessary to order these separately except in the event a gasket is damaged or bolts lost on the job site.

The following table shows the part numbers that will ensure that a gasket and bolt kit are shipped with the order of a large ball valve.

Again, the gaskets will be made from EPDM. The customer is to ensure that the EPDM material will be compatible with the fluid flowing in the system. Also some of the seals inside the valve are EPDM. If the EPDM gasket will not be compatible with the fluid in the pipe line, the seals inside the valve will not be compatible either and will need to be changed out. Consult your Aquatherm representative for more information regarding chemical compatibility and alternate gasket and seal material options.
